What does the full cycle of turnkey steel tank production include - from drawings to delivery?

What does the full cycle of turnkey steel tank production include - from drawings to delivery?

🔧 1. Pre-project preparation and development of CM/CMD

Turnkey construction of a tank begins with the development of design documentation: drawings of KM (metal structures) and KMD (detailed metal structures). At this stage, specialists take into account the purpose of the tank (for petroleum products, water, technical liquids, etc.), the required volume (PBVS-100, PBVS 200, PBVS-500, PBVS-1000, etc.), climatic conditions, terrain category, as well as technical requirements in accordance with DSTU and current building codes of Ukraine. The project takes into account the type of bottom (flat or conical), type of roof (stationary or floating), the need for strapping, hatches, ladders, and observation platforms.

🏗️ 2. Steel tank manufacturing

After the drawings are approved, manufacturing begins. The production of metal structures takes place at the factory using certified steel (mainly steel 3 or steel 09G2S). The production of the tank body (cylinder), bottom, roof, pipes and hatches is carried out taking into account future welding joints. Each weld is tested by non-destructive methods (ultrasound, capillary testing), which guarantees tightness and strength. All elements of tanks of the type RVS-100, RVS-200, RVS-500 and above are completed according to the specification.

🚛 3. Delivery, assembly and installation at the facility

After the production is completed, all the tank components are transported to the customer's site. The tank is installed using cranes and special equipment. The body sections are welded on site, the roof is installed, flanges, ladders, and straps are installed. The foundation is prepared in advance - the concrete base must correspond to the design load from the full tank (for example, RVS-500 contains 500 m³ of liquid, which gives a load of up to 500 tons).

🧪 4. Hydraulic testing and corrosion protection

After installation, the tank undergoes hydraulic tests for tightness - it is filled with water and kept under pressure. This allows you to detect possible leaks. Then the inner and outer surfaces of the tank undergo anti-corrosion treatment. Usually this is sandblasting preparation with subsequent application of multilayer coatings: epoxy, polyurethane or zinc systems. Specialized chemically resistant compounds are used for tanks that store aggressive liquids.

🧾 5. Commissioning

After all work is completed, the tank is prepared for commissioning. A control inspection is carried out, technical documentation, a test report, welding control protocols and material certificates are drawn up. Orient LTD guarantees that the constructed tanks comply with the standards and provides full support until the facility is put into operation. Tanks of the RVS-100, RVS-200, RVS-500 type and more can be put into operation within 30–90 days, depending on the complexity and location of the project.

🔚 Conclusion
Turnkey tanks are a full engineering cycle: from design to launch. Reliability, tightness and durability of such tanks are ensured by compliance with all technical standards at each stage. Choosing Orient LTD, you get not only high-quality metal construction, but also a safe, fully prepared solution for storing liquids.
