Construction of a steel vertical tank

The project began with the development of technical documentation for the KM/KMD for the manufacture of a vertical steel tank with a volume of 700 m³, intended for the storage of petroleum products. The tank was designed in accordance with current standards, taking into account the specifics of the facility and the customer's technical specifications. Carbon steel of the St3 grade was used for the manufacture of the tank body, which provides high strength, durability and resistance to deformation.

After the completion of production, all structural elements underwent thorough quality control, including inspection of welds by non-destructive testing methods. After that, the tank was delivered to the customer's facility by specialized transport. Installation work was carried out with the involvement of lifting equipment - the cylindrical body of the tank was installed on a prepared concrete foundation with precise positioning. Stairs, fences, hatches, flange assemblies and other necessary technological elements were installed.

The final stage was the anti-corrosion treatment of the inner and outer surfaces of the tank. For this, sandblasting was used to Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1, after which specialized anti-corrosion coatings resistant to petroleum products were applied. Thanks to a comprehensive approach, the tank meets all industrial safety requirements and is ready for long-term operation.
